Setting up your searches

Creating a new search is easy.

1. Enter your keywords
2. Choose where you want to target
3. Add a few draft responses to reply to your matches with.

There's even a search builder tool to help you get it just right. And that's it, we'll let you know when matches are found.

We'll then find the matches for you, and let you know when we've found some. To really hit the spot, you can also personalise any individual response before it's sent.

As time goes by, you can learn to refine your search to get great matches all the time.

Once you are confident your search is as good as it gets for your target market, you can set it to auto send, and we'll send a reply for you as soon as a match is found!.

The search and send process

The system will spread out your auto replies or confirmed matches so as not to overwhelm your followers and flood the Twitter stream, and rotate through your different drafted responses so it doesn't appear repetitive when people view your account.

When setting up your account, you can change the frequency (this is how often we search for matches, and send any auto replies or confirmed matches from your queue).

We can even add the user we find as a friend on twitter for you to give a more friendly approach.

Still don't get it? Here's an example

Going with aboves example, let's say you just opened a new coffee store in Queens and wanted to let people know about it. As part of your advertising efforts, you could setup TwitterHawk to search for things like "I need coffee" and set the location to Queens and within 10 mi (if you are a global company, you can choose to ignore the location field).

We then periodically (at a frequency determined by you) find twitter posts that mentioned coffee by users that are actually located within 10 miles of Queens such as
'@cracksh0t I need a coffee or anything with caffeine NOW' or
'@loxly This is so boring, I need a coffee... my one true love'

Depending on how you set your search up, the system will then either send the response automatically right then, or it will add it to your matches list for you to check over and confirm.

Should there be a match for coffee on something like '@coffeeh8r I cannot stand coffee!!!' you can simply remove this from your matches list!

Currently self-funded and fully developed by Subooa Studios in Melbourne, TwitterHawk is just another 'idea' on a long list of projects I want to build, if only I had the resources to get them all done! The reason this got built before most others is because I truely felt that a lot of people would get a good use out of it, and it could help improve peoples twitter experience.
